This is the first newsletter from PokerKings! It will keep you up to date on what we are up to. And we are up to quite a bit! Because at PokerKings you not only play online poker safely and securely but you can also qualify for live tournaments all over the world and be part of exciting events such as the monthly Poker League and Frequent Player Points Tournaments (FPPTs).
For example, the satellite tournaments for the EPT European Poker Tour (EPT) in Warsaw are running these days. The EPT Warsaw is a four-day Texas Hold'em No Limit tournament from March 11-15, 2008 at the Casinos Poland in the luxurious Hyatt Regency. Last year's winner, Peter Jepsen from Denmark, won €325,633.
With the prize package worth €7,500 that is exclusively available at PokerKings you will be able to sit at the table with European poker pros! The prize package includes the tournament buy-in for the winner at PokerKings as well as travel and accommodation for the winner and his/her companion. You can qualify through our daily and weekly satellites, and from there for the online final on March 1, 2008
For the super spontaneous among you who like to join a qualifier for the EPT Warsaw on impulse, there are also our Sit'n Go tournaments. Make your pick from a table with 5, 10, or 20 participants. It's playing time as soon as the table is full.
Poker League
Every day at 7:00 p.m. GMT (8:00 p.m. CET), it's time for the Poker League at PokerKings , a monthly tournament where we give away prize money in the amount of €1,000 at the end of each month.
Each tournament is a Texas Hold'em No-limit freezeout with €3+€0.30 buy-in. The prize pool is distributed among the players according to the standard payment structure of PokerKings . The top ten players in each tournament receive tournament points based on their finish in the tournament and are listed on a daily updated leader board that you can view on the PokerKings website.
At the end of the month you can win your share of the €1,000 extra prize pool according to your league result. All registered players at PokerKings can participate.
Frequent Player Points Tournaments (FPPTs)
Just like airplane miles, you can collect points when playing poker which will bring you farther ahead. You can collect player points at the PokerKings cash tables, or at our buy-in tournaments. You receive one (1) FPP for every €0.25 that you obtain as a rake at the cash tables. At tournaments, you receive four (4) FPPs for every €1 that you've paid in tournament fees.
With your FPPs, you can play in three special FPPTs every week. Every Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. GMT (8:15 p.m. CET), PokerKings holds a €500 FPPT with a buy-in of only 20 FPPs. Every Friday at 7:15 p.m. GMT (8:15 p.m. CET) there is a €1,000 FPPT with a buy-in of 50 FPPs. And if you have too much going on during the week, here's your FPPT: the €500 FPPT every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. GMT (5:00 p.m. CET). All in all, PokerKings has three FPPTs totalling €2,000 in additional tournament money every week.
